Your shelves and your system shouldn't disagree.

Shelves drift. Without a proper count, you only find out when an order can't ship.

  • Counts on paper, typed back in by hand
  • Sales paused so the numbers don't move mid-count
  • Variances with no idea what they cost you
  • Adjustments with no record of who made them, or why

A count your team can trust.

Everything you need to count properly.

Smart count lists

Add up to 500 items at a time, or select every match minus a few. Only products stocked at that warehouse are offered.

Scan to count

Scan barcodes or type SKUs, in any case. Each scan adds one, so you count a shelf as fast as you can scan.

Fair expected numbers

Expected quantities stay live while the session is open, so orders shipped mid-count don't show as false variances.

Nothing left uncounted

Before you submit, choose what happens to uncounted items: set them to zero or remove them from the session.

Variance at cost

See the value of every gain and loss, stock added and what is still uncounted. Export the variance report as CSV.

Full history

Every count change goes on the timeline, and final adjustments are logged against the stocktake that caused them.

Only the difference moves.

When you submit, Channel Bay re-reads live stock under a lock and applies only the difference between what it expected and what you counted. Sales made during the count stay safe, and Shopify and Amazon get the corrected number straight away.

adjustment = counted − live expected (read at submit)

Can one stocktake cover several warehouses?

Each stocktake covers one warehouse. Run one per location, and they can happen at the same time.

Do we have to stop selling while we count?

No. Expected quantities stay live until you submit, and only the difference is applied, so orders during the count are handled correctly.

Can I delete a finished stocktake?

No. Completed stocktakes are kept for your records. Drafts can be archived.
